REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
ENTRY RULES
Registration is available directly on the website www.chianti.utmb.world without pre-registration and lottery.
Registration will be via secure payment by credit card.
By registering to this event, you acknowledge and accept registrations without cancellation insurance are non-refundable (see conditions below) and non-transferable.
SALES PERIOD:
Registration will be open to the runners with a valid UTMB Index from June, 3rd 2026 at 11:00 am CET (UTMB Index runners benefit from a 48-hour priority registration window) to June, 5th 2026 at 11:00 am CET.
At the end of this period, registrations will be open to runners with or without a valid UTMB Index until February, 27th 2027 or until the races are sold out.
There will be no waiting list or reopening of the registrations.

Anyone 18 years old at the date of the race.

ELITE RUNNERS:
In order to give fair recognition to high level athletes and to ensure a fair management of entry applications, we reserve places for elite athletes according to their UTMB Index in the category of the race they chose to compete. Elite runners must register during the registration period. No registration will be accepted after the deadline. Once a distance is sold out, the event organiser has the right to refuse an elite registration.
To secure their spot, all elites athletes must register to a race at least 60 days before the race.

As organizers of Chianti Ultra Trail by UTMB, we wish to promote and support the participation of local residents. For this reason, all runners from Tuscany will have access to the Early Bird rate for the Chianti Wine Race 10, from the opening of registration until January, 31 2027.
To take advantage of this discount, valid proof of residence in Tuscany (ID card or equivalent document) will be required, which must be uploaded during registration and subsequently validated by our team. In the event of false or non-compliant documentation, the registration will be canceled without refund.
To another runner:
Registration is personal and non-transferable. Transfers to other athletes are not permitted.
Participants may cancel their registration through their dashboard.
Refunds are only available in accordance with the insurance terms and conditions, if subscribed during the registration process.
To another race of the same event :
It is possible to transfer a registration to a shorter distance until 4 weeks before the event and in the limit of places available.
In this case, no refund will be made. The event organiser must be contacted directly via the contact form
It is also possible to ask to transfer a registration to a longer distance but the request will not be automatically accepted and will be at the discretion of the race director.
Transfers are only available if the new distance is not sold out.
Please note that if you have purchased insurance, and then request a transfer to a different race distance, in case of cancellation of the new registration, you will be eligible for a refund of the original registration fee paid.
It is not possible to defer your registration to future editions of the Chianti Ultra Trail by UTMB event or to other events of the UTMB World Series.
Runners may cancel their registration at any time via their runner's area.
A) If you HAVE taken out the cancellation insurance, depending on the reason for cancellation, you may be entitled to a full refund. To submit your request, please access to your dashboard via your MyUTMB account, click on "edit my registration" and on “declare a cancellation claim”.

B) If you have NOT taken out the registration cancellation insurance, no refund will be possible.
To cancel your registration, access your registration dashboard and click on the Cancel my registration button.
C) Exceptional conditions in case of event cancellation:
If the event or a race is cancelled, or if the event must be organized differently (for example, one or more races must be cancelled), for any reason not attributable to the control of the organisation, more than 30 days before the start, runners may be partially reimbursed for entry fees. In such a case, the amount of the refund would be decided in a way that allows the organization to meet the expenses incurred from the date of cancellation.
Each registration will only be validated upon presentation and verification of a medical certificate, in accordance with Ministerial Decree 18/02/1982.
The medical certificate must comply with the requirements established by Italian law and must be submitted within the deadlines indicated HERE.
If the medical certificate is not presented, the runner will not be allowed to collect their race bib or participate in the race.
Please make sure you can meet these conditions before finalizing your registration, as no refunds will be granted if you fail to comply with these requirements.
