Registrations rules

Sales period :

Registration will be open to the runners with a valid UTMB index only from 18/06/2024 date at 9:00 until 20/06/2024 at 9:00 (period must be 48h long). At the end of this period, registrations will be open to runners with or without valid UTMB index until 20/03/2024 at 9:00 or until the races are sold out. There will be no waiting list.

Minimum age :

Anyone 18 years old at the date of the race.

Elite Runners: In order to give fair recognition to high level athletes and to ensure a fair management of entry applications, we reserve places for elite athletes according to their Performance Index in the category of the race they chose to compete. Elite runners must register during the registration period. No registration will be accepted after the deadline. If the distance is lottery based, the elite runners must register at the same time as other athletes. Once a distance is sold out, the event organiser has the right to refuse an elite registration. All elites must register to a race at least 60 days before the race.

ENTRY FEES

• UTCC 120 : From 170€ to 210€
• CUT 73 : From 125€ to 155€
• CMT 46 : From 79€ to 110€
• CHT 20 : From 39€ to 55€
• CWR 10 : From 20€ to 35€ An additional 8% administration fee will be charged. Those administration fees are not refundable in case of cancelation.

To another runner:

Registration is personal. However, it is possible to transfer a registration to someone else until 4 weeks before the opening of the first day of bib distribution (22/02/2025) provided that the runner who will benefit from the registration transfer also meets the entry conditions listed above. A 20 euros transfer fee applies. Once the recipient has accepted and completed the transfer, the original registrant will be cancelled and refunded. Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days. The transfer fee will be deducted automatically from the refund. Process for transfer to someone else, please contact : chianti@service.utmb.world

To another race of the same event :

It is possible to transfer a registration to a shorter distance until 4 weeks before the event and in the limit of places available. In this case, no refund will be made. The event organiser must be contacted directly via email. It is also possible to ask to transfer a registration to a longer distance but the request will not be automatically accepted and will be at the discretion of the race director. **Transfers are only available if the new distance is not sold out. **

A) Cancellation insurance Runners are offered the possibility to subscribe to a cancellation insurance with an external company offered by the organisation. Purpose of cancellation insurance is to reimburse registration fees paid for Chianti Ultra Trail by UTMB® event in case a participant applies to cancel his or her registration.

1. In case of justified cause according to the conditions of the insurance company, you will get a 100% refund of the race bib cost.
2. If there is no justified cause, 70% of the bib costs will be refunded. Runners who wish to subscribe to the cancellation policy will be asked to pay an additional 10% of the total amount, to be added to the registration fee.

**Cancellation insurance must be booked exclusively at the time of registration. ** The request for cancellation via the insurance must be applied for before February 28. After this date it is not possible to use the insurance. There will be no type of refund for runners who wish to cancel their registration and have not contracted their cancellation insurance.

B) Exceptional conditions in case of event cancellation

If the event or a race is canceled, or if the event must be organized differently (for example, one or more races must be canceled), for any reason not attributable to the control of the organisation, more than 30 days before the start, runners may be partially reimbursed for entry fees. In such a case, the amount of the refund would be decided in a way that allows the organization to meet the expenses incurred from the date of cancellation.
