The medical certificate requirements are mandated by Italian law (DM 18/02/1982).
If your medical certificate is rejected for not meeting the following criteria, no exceptions can be made.
You must present a valid medical certificate in compliance with Italian law; otherwise, you will not be allowed to participate in the race.
Please note that the deadline of February 27th, 2026 is for uploading the medical certificate. Any modifications or adjustments can be made afterward.
Which Procedure Applies to You?
To obtain a valid medical certificate, please refer to the option that matches your situation:
"I am not in Italy and/or cannot contact an Italian doctor to obtain a valid medical certificate in accordance with DM 18/02/1982.”
International athletes (i.e. NON-Italian citizens and NON-Italian resident) must provide a medical certificate as per the Italian law (DM 18/02/1982)
The medical examinations, must include a sports medical check-up, cardiac stress test (with electrocardiogram), urine test, spirometry test, conducted in compliance with Italian law (DM 18/02/82 and DM 24/04/2013)
A special form has been created for international athletes (NON-Italian citizens and NON-Italian resident) who cannot obtain an Italian medical certificate from a local doctor, making it quick and easy to comply with Italian law (DM 18/02/1982). Download the form below and have it signed and stamped by a doctor, then upload it to your MyUTMB account before the 27/02/2026.

The document must:
- Be valid for a maximum of one year
- Be valid on the race date
- Expire after the event

- The form signed by an Italian doctor will not be accepted.
- If you do not provide your medical certificate, you will not be able to participate in your race.

Option 2 Follow the procedure for Italian resident, by providing an Italian medical certificate for competitive Athletics (sport code S.012) in compliance with italian law (DM 18/02/1982).
