MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
The medical certificate requirements are mandated by Italian law (DM 18/02/1982).
If your medical certificate is rejected for not meeting the following criteria, no exceptions can be made.
You must present a valid medical certificate in compliance with Italian law; otherwise, you will not be allowed to participate in the race.
Please note that the deadline of February 27th, 2026 is for uploading the medical certificate. Any modifications or adjustments can be made afterward.
INTERNATIONAL ATHLETES
International athletes (i.e. NON-Italian citizens) must provide a medical certificate as per the Italian law (DM 18/02/1982) fill in the following form HERE, have it signed and stamped by the attending physician or by a doctor specialized in sports medicine, and upload it to their MyUTMB account before February 27th, 2026.
- The document must be dated less than one year before the day of the race and must include the words "Athletic sports". Please note that the terms "trail race/competition" and "triathlon race/competition" or similar are not accepted by the Italian law.
- Medical certificate must date maximum 1 year before the race date, must be valid on the race date and must expire after the event (the issue and the expiration dates must be clearly indicated).
- Medical certificates are accepted only in English and Italian. No other language is accepted.
Please note that it could take up to several weeks for our team to validate your medical certificate.
If you do not provide your medical certificate, you will not be able to participate in your race.
ITALIAN ATHLETES RESIDING ABROAD
Italian athletes residing abroad must:
- Either upload a medical certificate for competitive Athletics (code S.012), signed and stamped by an Italian doctor, by February 27, 2026, following the procedure for Italian athletes.
- Or upload the foreign runners’ form (downloadable HERE), signed and stamped by a foreign doctor.
The certificate must be issued by the attending physician or by a doctor specialized in sports medicine.
ITALIAN ATHLETES
Italian athletes have to log in to their personal area and upload a medical certificate for competion in Athletics sports cod S.102 before February 27th, 2026.
